The Excelsior - Kings River Resource Conservation District

(EKRCD) is a special district government dedicated to conserving and improving water and land resources through groundwater and surface water sustainability, runoff and erosion control, water distribution, and projects that support Groundwater Sustainability Agencies in achieving long-term sustainability goals.

Our Conservation Programs

Free, CDFA-funded programs for growers in Fresno, Kings, and Tulare Counties.

WELLUP

Water Efficiency Program

Free pump efficiency testing and irrigation evaluation for growers, with no minimum acreage required.

Healthy Soils Program

Grants Up to $200,000

CDFA-funded grants for compost application, cover crops, mulching, and other soil health practices.

Open Government & Transparency

EKRCD Board meetings are held every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 1:30 pm at the Kings County Farm Bureau Office.
